Outdoor Concert Information

WHEN CAN I ENTER THE CONCERT GROUNDS?

Ticket holders will be allowed into the grounds approximately one hour before the concert is scheduled to start. General ticket holders will enter through our north parking lot entrance. VIP Reserved ticket holders will enter through the northwest entrance into the Katherine L White Hall lobby for a reception from 5–6:30pm. Ticketed individuals with disabilities and one ticketed companion will be allowed to enter the grounds approximately 15 minutes prior to the general public. Please contact the VCA front desk to get any specific instructions.

WHAT KIND OF CHAIR CAN I BRING?

General admission seating is festival-style in the East VCA parking lot, and the audience *MUST* bring their own lawn chair! Ticket holders enter the field on a “first come, first served” basis. You may not hold additional seating space in anticipation of others joining you. Picnic blankets, benches, tents or umbrellas are *NOT* permitted. Beach and/or lawn chairs 12” from the ground are permitted anywhere in the general admission area. High-back chairs and seats higher than 12” from the ground will be required to move to the designated “High Back Chair” areas in the back of the grounds.

WHAT ELSE CAN I BRING WITH ME?

Food, water, and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted at the concert; food will also be available for purchase from the food truck. Glass and other breakable utensils are *NOT* permitted. Pets are *NOT* permitted on the campus; only ADA animals permitted. BBQs, sparklers and other sources of open flame are not permitted.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

All concerts are performed outside and held rain or shine. Please dress for the weather. There is no covered seating. Shade or rain umbrellas are not permitted during the concert.

MAY I SMOKE?

Smoking of any kind, including electronic cigarettes, is not permitted anywhere on the VCA campus. There is a “Designated Smoking Area” outside the north gate, and you must show your ticket to return back to the concert grounds.

MAY I DANCE DURING THE CONCERT?

You are welcome to stand and/or dance during the performance, but we ask that you be courteous to those around you and be respectful of the artist’s performance. This means that you will be asked to dance or stand on the sides of the grounds so you do not interfere with the line of sight of the patrons remaining seated behind you.

ARE THERE CHAIRS AVAILABLE FOR RESERVED SEATING?

There are no chairs provided by VCA and attendees are required to bring their own lawn chair.

MAY I BRING A CAMERA?

Most artists prohibit the use of flash cameras, professional cameras, digital cameras with detachable lenses, and tape/video recording devices and therefore, they are not permitted on the VCA campus. Cell phones are permitted, but may NOT be used to record the artist. Should cell phones become an obstruction you will be asked to put them away.

MAY I BRING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?

Please do not bring any alcoholic beverages with you. Alcoholic beverages consumed on the VCA campus must be purchased at VCA as required by the Washington State Liquor Control Board (WAC 314-24/RCW 66-04-0III). No other beer, spirits or wine is permitted anywhere on the campus and will be confiscated. For your safety and the safety of others, a visual security check of bags will be conducted at the entry to the concert. There will be an enclosed beer garden for the consumption of alcohol, and IDs will be checked.

PARKING

The concert is being held *in* our parking lot, so vehicles will be required to park on the street or in the VISD parking lots. Please allow sufficient time to find parking!

MORE GOOD NEWS! We've been given permission by the Vashon Island School District to park in their respective school lots (Chautauqua and McMurray on SW Cemetery Rd., and Vashon Island High School on 204th St. SW). So you may park in one of these three parking lots and then walk to the event from there. Thanks!
