Emily Scott Robinson
October 14 @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
With an angelic voice and lyrics laid bare, Emily Scott Robinson is pioneering her own brand of roots music that is equal parts folk and country that she likes to call Southern Gothic folk . Her stunning folksy Americana music draws comparison to a mix of Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris, and Gillian Welch, and she enchants her audiences with stories and songs that are playful, darkly funny, heart-wrenching and redemptive. Emily was featured on Public Radio International's show "The World" for her single, "Traveling Mercies" and was named winner of the 2017 Wildflower Festival Performing Songwriter Contest. In previous years, Emily has won the Grassy Hill New Folk competition at Kerrville Folk Festival, and the in the “American Songwriter” May/June Lyric Contest. She released her debut album, “Magnolia Queen,” in February 2016, and is currently touring full time across the country.
